All treatments are drawn from the plants of the island, sourced from grounds and local organic farms and wild-gathered by environmentally sustainable methods.

While a guest at Mother Earth Spa we encourage you to take part in our group wellness activities. If you feel like a bit of self-administered wellness, you can take a dip in the ocean, or stone hot tub, or laps around Blue Lagoon within a short drive from the grounds. Enjoy our eucalyptus steam room to clear your sinuses, or a stroll through the walking trails, of breathtaking ocean front property and Jamaican foliage. We do encourage you to take advantage of the great outdoors while you are with us.

Oak Hill Healing Retreat
Enjoy time in this prestigious Northumberland hills of 16.6 acres of forests, gardens, campfire, nature and retreat programs. This wonderful property is a hill forested by Red Pine Trees with wrap around trail and cabin facing south. It is situated on a private forested property in the rolling hills of Northumberland county in Elizabethville.
The neighbouring Ganaraska forest has 11,000 acres of trails, for horseback riding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, all within a trail walk or 5-minute drive to the main entrance of the conservation park. One hour from Toronto via 35/115 with 407 or 401 connection, or 1/2 drive to Port Hope, Millbrook, and Bowmanville.
If you are seeking nature, healing, solace, and solitude for meditation you will be delighted with the property trails that lead to a fern area and small running brook. Our retreats are a unique blend of relaxation, meditation along with a full body soul reset. You will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, with a new outlook on your health and your life. Grounds are well maintained with various trails, sitting areas, activity board listing upcoming programs, retreats and dates scheduled.
Property is a forested hill with a flat 2acre crown where both main home and adjacent caoch house are situated. Surrounded by roads with no direct neighbors on either side and across from original old cemetery that is not in use. This country home/retreat estate property has a Coach house attached with a breezeway to main house. Coach house is equipped with kitchen and dining area with loft for overnight guests. Unique to this property each home has airtight wood stoves and most recently Geo Thermo has been added to the main house. Original construction of main house was 1971 with all new additions and coach house since 2003. Water is on a dug well that is known for the best drinking water in the area. No lack of water supply as hill is sitting on main water veins.
Since 2003 wildlife have been supported on the property through two feeding stations that are regularly visited by deer, turkey, birds etc. If you are a nature lover this place will offer many hours of enjoyment watching all the wildlife at their feed stations. Feed consists of scratch grain, molasses cracked corn, bird seed, sunflower seeds, peanuts and scrap food. Our many species of birds includes woodpeckers, owl and hawks. We are low on mosquito's as it is a hill property where there is always a breeze and bats that come out at night. To protect the wild life we ask that no visitors bring a dog on the property. As the property is located in an isolated area there are no street lights and most neighbors do not use outdoor lights therefore the night sky is very clear to see all the stars, making this a very favorable place for star gazing. Noice in this area echoes and can be heard very clearly therefore we ask that you are respectful to our neighbors and to other visitors on the property. Any scheduled event that involves music will be posted locally so as not to disturb the area. Keep in mind the more noice we make the less we will see the wildlife. The howl of the coyotes will be a reminder that you are in a conversation park called the OAKRIDGE MORAIN part of the Ganaraska Forest Conservation.
For private viewings times they are only on Sunday mornings between 10am to 12 pm.
Property has no garbage pickup and all garbage disposal is done at a local dump, due to the wildlife it is required that garbage be disposed of as per the instructions listed above all garbage containers. All garbage must be removed on the property once retreat or program ends and once a week to ensure there is no wildlife issues. Coach house has cathedral ceilings in living room area with a very large loft bedroom overlooking living room. Kitchen has stove with new large toaster oven, fridge and microwave. Cable and internet are not included in the bookings, but are available as an additional cost at time of booking.

Located just 1 hour from the Greater Toronto Area, Oak Hill Retreat is a premiere camping destination. Our venue is very small and private it is bring your own tent, sleeping bag and supplies.
Forest Bathing at Oak Hill Retreat, inside the forest. Pick your spot to pitch your tent and take in the healing and wellness of the forest. Traditional Japanese method of forest bathing, known as Shinrin-Yoku, is a research-based framework for supporting healing and wellness through immersion in forests and other natural environments. We take forest bathing seriously, both literally and figuratively.
Camping has become known for its unique and one-of-a-kind accommodations. We plan to add in the future framed supported deck Safari Tents inspired by the great prospector tents of Canada’s past and each one features unique furnishings and custom carpentry. We will be purchasing these tents from http://biome-canada.ca/home., which will be placed artfully throughout the property with decorated charming furniture and wind chimes. Digital Detox Can you remember the last time you went a full day without checking your emails, scrolling through Instagram or responding to text messages? Wifi is weak in our little corner of the countryside, and we think that is a good thing. When you arrive here we suggest turning off your phone so you have more time to take in the beauty of nature and the stunning scenery that surrounds you.

Reconnect with the wilderness Bring your ownTent and supplies. Tents are artfully situated throughout the property to offer stunning views of surrounding forest and beautiful wilderness. As we are a small venue, we cannot accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs. While we do our best to remove many discomforts of traditional camping, please be aware that you are still vacationing and sleeping in the wilderness and may encounter wildlife. Remember, the forest was here first.

Water hookup is not available please bring your own bottled water containers. Cleanup will be choice of portie pottie you bring and showering in coach house. Coach house has it's own bathroom, outdoor shower by the cabin area will not be ready until 2026 season.
Electric hookup is an additional charge and is serviced using extension cords. We have not run wiring under the forest bed.
Large fire pit area for cooking, large propane barbecue available for use, kitchen available in Caoch house. Keep in mind it is a 1 hour trip to and fro from this property to a grocery store. Be well prepared, bottled water, and lawn chair you will need and blankets, sleeping bags etc.

As we are a very small venue we limit at any given time 20 campers in total on the property.
For private venues we close bookings for the period the property has been booked for venues such as recording studio sessions or Healing retreats. Booking ahead helps make certain your dates are available.
